How do I wash my FireLid?

Hand wash in cold water. Wring out like a sponge. Lay flat to dry. You may add your Decon product of choice (i.e. Citrosqueeze, Dawn Dish Soap). DO NOT Machine Wash or Dry.

When will Hula PinUps/Traditional Flash/La Katrina be in stock?

Due to high demand and in order to be able to meet our stated turnaround times, our Hula PinUp, Traditional Flash and La Katrina FireLids are available on a limited basis. Please follow our Instagram account @j5firelids to see watch for announcements for upcoming sales. We are unable to accommodate requests to be individually notified and we do not keep a waitlist.


How long after I order will my order ship out?

Merch: 2 weeks

Standard Fabric FireLid: 2-3 weeks

Non Custom DTG FireLid: 3 weeks

Custom DTG FireLid: 4-6 weeks ***non refundable***


Why does it take so long?

We are a family owned business run by a working firefighter and a nurse. We complete fabrication and process orders on our "off" days. We appreciate your patience and understanding that during fire season or other high volumes of mandatory overtime that orders will take the full stated turnaround times. Please contact us at J5FireLidsCustomerService@gmail.com to request a refund on any NON CUSTOM orders if these stated wait times do not meet your needs. We apologize we cannot offer any refunds on Custom FireLids that have gone into production.


How will I know if my order ships? What if I received a shipping notification but the tracking status hasn't updated yet?

You will receive tracking info to your email address or phone number as provided at checkout. Please know that when you receive tracking info, it means that we have printed your shipping label. This is not the time it is dropped off at the Post Office. There may be a lag of 2-3 days from when your label is printed and when it is dropped off at the post office. There are also times where USPS does not scan packages at drop off. We are committed to orders being delivered within the standard order turnaround times listed above. Please feel free to contact us regarding concerns if your order has not been delivered within the standard order turn around time.


I'm looking for a Lid made out of a fabric you don't offer?

You are welcome to hit us up on J5FireLidsCustomerService@gmail.com to see if we have it available. During our non holiday season, we can also do a custom FireLid for you out of fabric you provide. Fabric requirements: 100% cotton, 1/4 yard, fabric pattern (i.e. what you want to see on your lid) no larger than 6 inches. Cost runs approx $20/Lid with a turnaround time is 2-3 weeks from the time we receive your fabric and payment.


When will you be offering Custom Embroidered FireLids again?

As with many things in the post Covid era, embroidery vendors have been unable to meet reasonable turnaround times for our customers. We are currently in the process of looking for a vendor solution for embroidery.

Can you embroider my own image on a FireLid?

We are not currently promoting this due to the high cost and extended vendor turnaround times.

Can you put my image on a FireLid with Direct to Garment?

We are proud to now be offering In-House fabrication of Direct to Garment Custom FireLids. Direct to garment technology allows us to put your personal logos and images on your FireLid, including photos.


To produce the best quality image for a Direct to Garment FireLid, we require a PNG file with a minimum 300 dpi. Screenshots and photos converted to PNG format are not acceptable.

Please keep in mind that this image will be on a FireLid that is approx 8”x7” so detailed images may lose some clarity. For those wearing Phenix brand helmets, larger images may be incorporated around the button hole feature of the Lid or images may be shrunk to fit within the button hole area.


DTG FireLid turnaround time will be 4-6 weeks. Cost per FireLid 35$. Discounts will not be offered for orders of less than 12.


All order requests must be submitted on Google Doc.  Google Doc will only be available when we are open for taking orders. We will not take orders in excess of what we are able to complete within our stated delivery time frame.

Can I return my FireLid?

We do not offer returns on any custom orders.

For all non custom orders, we accept returns on all NON WORN UNWASHED merchandise within 14 days of delivery. Refunds will be issued when merchandise is received.

You can choose to ship back yourself or request a return shipping label. Shipping charges will not be refunded if a return label is requested. If you choose to return with your own shipping label we recommend choosing a shipping method with tracking to confirm your return is received.
